I'm a 27 year old graduate trying to work out what to do with the rest of her life. I've spent 5 years at university acquiring a BA in American Studies and an MA in Film Studies. Suffice to say, I've mostly been having fun. Now, I have to live in the real world and I'm finding it's not to my liking.

At the moment - because I refuse to actually be unemployed (you haven't met my parents), I'm working in an independent bookshop in Winchester. Most people seem unsurprised when I say I work in a bookshop since I've had my nose in a book since I was a wee child. Now I tend to have my nose in either a book or fanfic. Either is good.

Apart from books, my biggest passions are movies, TV, history and politics. I can talk the hind leg off a horse if you are silly enough to get me going on any of these subjects.

I've read fanfic since I was about 17 but in the last few years have taken to writing some myself. All are WIPs since I'm not good with the time management thing. On the other hand, I am going to finish them all since *I* want to know what happens and nothing annoys me more than a story that doesn't finish. I'm playing mostly in Stargate Atlantis and Criminal Minds at the moment. I want to branch out, but again, I'm not good with managing my time. My most current obssession is Merlin. Utterly obssessed. So much so that I've changed my mood themes to reflect my obssession. They are made by sunshineclouds

You will find that my lack of time management is a common theme in my life.

My favourite authors (because listing my favourite books would take about 10 years) are - in no particular order:-

Raymond E Feist, David Eddings, Janet Evanovich, Jim Butcher, Rachel Caine, Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, Charlaine Harris, Virginia Andrews, Lene Kaaberbol, Frank Beddor, Cornelia Funke, Terry Brooks, Tom Holt, Robin Hobb, Christopher Brookmyer, Jasper Fforde, Bill Bryson, Alison Croggon.

In the last few years I've somewhat gone off Sherrilyn Kenyon (although I still want to read Ash's story), Christine Feehan and Laurrell K Hamilton.

My favorite TV shows are:- Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Farscape, Dead Like Me, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, 24, NCIS, CSI:Vegas, CSI:NY, Numb3rs, Teachers, Ultraviolet, X-Files, Blackadder, Yes Minister, Fawlty Towers, Have I Got News For You, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Dr Who, The 4400. To be newly added would be, Burn Notice, Dexter, The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds and Merlin.

There are also a number of TV shows I know I have to watch but because I either don't live in the US, don't have Sky, don't have access enough to the Internet for downloading, or don't have the money for every DVD I want, I haven't get seen.

Another passion of mine is travelling. I could list all the places I've been over the years, but the list is long, and I can't be bothered.
